Any advise about house training a recently rescued dog?

We rescued a dog about a week and a half ago and are having trouble training the dog to go outside. She is 1 1/2 year old boxer mix. She has messed in several different places in the house sometimes twice a day. She has also had loose stools. We gave her Tripe mixed with her food for a few days, but that didn’t help. We are back to dry food (last 24 hours) bust are still having a problem. Any advise?

Has anyone tried it? Was it successful? How old was your dog when you put him/her in obedience training? Will I learn leash training through Andrea Arden?

Are dog training classes a necessity?

I adopted a 6mos old rescue puppy last week and she is very well mannered, but at least a dozen people have suggested obedience training. She already knows sit and stay and is house broken. Should I consider obedience training or are most people just cop-outs? And where should I go for such classes? For what it’s worth, I live in Edison, NJ.

Ideas wanted for catchy hook for dog training business?

My Dad has just qualified as a Dog Psychologist and is trying to think of a good hook for his business to catch the attention of potential clients. He plans on running a few classes for owners and then on a one to one basis in clients’ houses, a bit like Cesar Milan. It will be a business which concentrates on the owners’ behaviour as much as the dogs’.
